Opening night under new management. Excellent. Place looks amazing, it has lovely relaxing atmosphere. Inside bar, outdoor garden space with stage and little quiet area offer so much for upcoming summer nights. There was a live music, everything was fantastic. Staff were friendly and very fast clearing up empty glasses. The place was hopping. Can't wait for another night out here!

What recent reviewers mention most:
Atmosphere
Absolutely brilliant atmosphere, staff, well the place was packed, but they kept smiling and served so fast, they were brilliant. The owners, they worked as hard beside their staff. Great team work. Festival opening, Rock of ages was the headline band, they rocked the place, but a new young family band on b4 them from Kilkenny was also fab, switching from original and covers, n many instruments were used. They'll go far. So for me the chestnut is the place to go..
Don’t ever buy an Aperol here, an Aperol contains 60ml of Aperol and 90ml Prosecco but this pub gives one measure (35.5ml) of each of these and charging €12.50. When I asked to change it they said ‘there’s nothing we can do’ and if I wanted a proper Aperol I had to pay €18……
